Sydney Olympic Park

Site revamp for Sydney’s prime sports destination

As part of a digital infrastructure review it was acknowledged Sydney Olympic Park needed to redesign their web content.

Their websites were last redesigned five years ago (2011) and were unresponsive, prior to mobile becoming integral to the user experience. This meant the authority was unable to deliver certain functionality to customers.

The solution

As well as the main Sydney Olympic Park website we created a flexible framework so the client was able to build out nine affiliated venue websites with their own distinctive themes. The websites had a common top-level navigation allowing users to navigate quickly between them.

We also designed the sites in such a way that could make reuse of data, allowing, for example, events to be shared between sites using tagging.

Additionally a number of modules were designed with a view to reuse throughout the nine sites to support personalisation.
