Xpedition

Site refresh for growing tech Consultancy

Xpedition is a technology consultancy business who sell days for projects where they consult, design, build and implement solutions for their customers.

They came to Clarity seeking a refreshed website to align with their 3-year growth strategy. The website would not only be important in showcasing Xpeditions services, but serving as an essential vehicle for generating leads.

The process

/ Research interviews

Working in close collaboration with the client we were able to examine key areas such as services offered, industries served, personas and user needs.

/ Content mapping

Once key templates were identified we mapped out content to encourage multiple flows through the website. Of particular importance were the solution and industry pages, for which we architected modules to encourage navigation between them.

/ Sitemap

The client wanted a website that was not purely transactional, rather one that supported the whole B2B customer journey.

With that in mind we devised a navigation that emphasised solution and industry pages as well as a resources hub that contained all insight content in one central repository.

/ Wireframes

Wireframes were produced for those templates that played a significant role in the key journeys, from information seeking right through to making an initial enquiry.

/ User journey flows

Diagrams were drafted to envisage how users would flow through the new website. Both the solution and industry pages were of particular importance as they were essentially pillar pages that would direct users through to related content.

The solution

The resulting website was one that showcased content in better alignment with the B2B journey, with a focus on solutions and industry pages, and a centralisation of insight content.

The redesign also welcomed the opportunity to freshen up the interface which was formerly drab, cluttered and generally didn’t aid the user journey. There was no budget for a rebrand, however working in close collaboration with the client, we were able to identify elements that would both represent and modernise the new website.
